Christmas In Austin

Well, at the very last minute I decided to drive down to Austin and see my family for Christmas. But most importantly to see my nieces and nephews who are like my own kids. Buying last minute Christmas gifts at Target, ToysRUs and Starbucks is always fun. Can't wait to watch Bella open her gifts in the morning, she loves waiting for Santa Claus to come, only a kid would know that feeling. Merry Christmas everyone.

Snow In Arlington

On Friday, February 12, 2010 we got over 12 inches of snow here in Arlington. Here is a shot from the pool area at the Maverick Athletic Club, the gym I work at. It is all meting now for the most part but it came down fast. This weekend is the NBA All Star Game along with Valentines Day on Sunday. Lory and I are going to the NBA Jam Session on Saturday and then still working on getting some tickets to the 3-point shootout and the slam dunk competition.

If we get to take video cameras in the Jam Session, I will shoot some video. :-)

Easter Egg Hunt Video

I know, I have not been updating my blog as much as I should have. Work and racquetball have kept me very busy and summer all of a sudden was here. I decided to buy a better software program for video editing, Adobe Premier Elements 7, so I can do more with my video editing skills. I have also signed up for a Video Workshop and I am really looking forward to creating more videos. With that, here is a short little video of the Easter Egg Hunt party we had over at Chuck's with Bella, Ava, Lauren and the rest of the family.

Mothers Day In Austin

I went to Austin for Mother's Day, the weather was nice over the weekend. We went over to Mom and Rick's on Saturday night as Rick made some tasty hamburgers on the grill. Mom made all the sides, some good beans, avocado, and chips. Melissa brought a cake for dessert and we all were stuffed.
On Sunday we all met at the Iron Cactus for an all you can eat buffet that everyone seemed to enjoy. You had choices such as omelets or other breakfast items such as pancakes, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bacon. Or you could choose from fajitas, enchiladas, salmon, and other hot dishes. There was also plenty of desserts to choose from as well. All the Mom's opened their gifts and once again we were stuffed.
It wouldn't be right if I forgot to mention the "bottomless" Mimosa's that were a hit at our table. I think Melissa had her fair share and even got one to go....way to go sis. Enjoy the slideshow from our visit to the Iron Cactus.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOM!!

Houston Rockets Playoff Game

I was in Houston last week and was lucky enough to get a ticket to the playoff game between the Houston Rockets and the Portland Trailblazers. After putting on a racquetball tournament and eating some dinner, I hopped a cab to the Toyota Center for $6 bucks and bought a ticket from someone for $45. Got the playoff shirt for only $15 and had an $8 dollar beer. Another $6 cab ride back home and my first playoff game only cost me $80. Well worth it and it didn't cost me a weeks salary.
I blogged this post directly from my iPhone using the blogger email tool. Kinda cool huh?
